Breakfast Just Got Better with This Spicy Homemade Granola

Whether enjoyed on top of yogurt, with milk, or just on its own as a quick breakfast to go, granola is a delicious and hearty way to start the day. This blend of oats, chia seeds, nuts, and our crystalized ginger, along with plenty of warm spices, doesn’t just taste delicious - it’ll stick by you until lunch, too. Enjoy with a warm cup of CBD coffee for the ideal morning routine.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rolled oats

  • 2/3 cup nuts, seeds, dried fruit

  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut

  • 2 tablesloons chia seeds

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon all spice

  • 1/4 teaspoon nut meg

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/2 cup Civilized Coffee crystallized ginger, diced

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 tablespoon molasses (optional)

  • 2 egg whites beaten until foamy

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 280°F. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper.
    In a large bowl, combine oats, seeds/nuts/dried fruit, coconut, chia seeds, and brown sugar together.

  2. Add in honey, oil, and molasses if using.

  3. Fold in beaten egg whites. Mix well.

  4. Spread into one even layer on parchment paper. Bake 33 minutes. Leave mixture in the oven, turn off the oven and crack the door open allowing granola to cool for 15 minutes.

  5. Remove from oven, let granola set for 1 hour or until completely cool.

  6. Break apart, store in airtight container. Great to add to small jars and pass out at gifts with a cute ribbon! Good for 1 month stored in a cool, dry place.
